01 / The brief
A 15-person SME was running project management across spreadsheets and email threads. They needed one place for task assignment, deadlines and reporting, built on infrastructure they already owned and could administer themselves.
02 / The problem
The reporting was the real cost. Someone was spending roughly four hours a week reconciling a third-party time-tracking service against project tasks by hand. The fix was a custom PHP plugin bridging the WordPress REST API and the time-tracking service so the reconciliation happened on a schedule instead of on a person.
